Equipment Pick-up Checklist

There will be no In-Person Registration at Equipment Pickup. Registration is Online and in advance only.

Helmets and shoulder pads need to be properly fitted for safety purposes.  Therefore, NO equipment will be handed out unless the player is present AND all of the following completed forms and fees have been submitted for each player: 

  1. Registration forms completed (online)
  2. Registration fees fully paid (online)
  3. Medical form completed (submitted at equipment pickup)
    • Please note that we no longer accept anything but the official DJFL Medical Form with a Doctor’s Stamp. All others will be turned away
  4. Deposit check of $525 payable to ‘DJFL’ POST DATED 12/01/2024 for tackle and modified travel flag equipment (submitted at equipment pickup)

Pick-up / Drop-off Information

2024 DJFL Equipment Pick-up:

Darien High School Stadium
(black top between the track and the high school)

  • June 4th (All Grades): 5:30pm - 8:30pm (Rain Date - June 5th)

You will be charged a $200 late fee if you cannot make this date.  NO Exceptions.

2024 DJFL Equipment Drop-off:

  • November TBD (All Grades): 6pm - 8pm

The following items need to be returned. If any item is not returned, you will be charged the replacement cost. Once we have received all items, or have received payment for missing items, we will hand back your deposit check.

  • Helmet - $240
  • Shoulder Pads - $80
  • Game Jersey - $60
  • Practice Jersey - $20

Please have cash or a check written out to DJFL available for missing items.

There will only be ONE evening to return equipment.  If you cannot make the return, please have a friend return your equipment for you.  Any items not returned will be considered missing and deposits will be cashed.  NO Exceptions.

Tackle Equipment

DJFL Provides:

  • helmet with chin strap
  • shoulder pads
  • practice jersey*
  • game jersey*

*provided during preseason

Parents Provide:

  • mouth guard
  • cleats
  • cup / athletic supporter
  • blue game day pants (w/ built-in pads)


  • First three days of preseason for an athlete will be shorts & helmet only.
  • No player can be on the field until they have picked up equipment, turned in medical form & equipment deposit check. Players will sit on the sidelines until documentation is submitted and equipment is issued.
  • After three full days of conditioning practice has been completed by the player, then full pads can be worn.
  • If your player cannot make the first preseason practices, they will start their three days when they arrive even though the other players may be in pads.
  • Please have your player’s mouth guard for the preseason.
  • The blue game day football pants (with built-in pads) are used for practices as well.
